Louisa County Update, effective July 1, 2026
MACAA stands with the families of Louisa County, and we want to share an important update.
Due to the Louisa County Board of Supervisors’ recent funding decision, MACAA’s services in Louisa County are currently limited to providing Energy Share assistance. This change impacts the range of support available to residents, including those who rely on emergency assistance to maintain housing stability and meet essential needs.
For many years, MACAA has worked in partnership with local governments to support households facing economic challenges. When funding levels shift, it can influence the scope of services available to the community. While the needs of Louisa County residents remain strong, available resources have become more limited.
MACAA remains committed to advocating for continued investment in services that benefit Louisa County residents. We encourage community members, partners, and local leaders to continue working together to explore opportunities for strengthening support for essential programs.
In the meantime, our team will continue to provide Energy Share assistance and help connect residents with any additional information, resources, and support that may be available.
MACAA is dedicated to serving the community and remains hopeful for future opportunities to expand support for Louisa County residents.
