Bertha Armstrong has devoted more than half a century to serving her community with compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment. For 54 years, she led the work of MACAA across Fluvanna, Louisa, and Nelson counties, becoming a trusted advocate for generations of families. Bertha began her career at the agency in the late 1960s and quickly became known for her hands-on leadership style and deep personal connection to the people she served. She was recognized for remembering names, listening to stories, and ensuring every individual felt respected and valued.
